Get to know our new staff members!

A lot has happened in Green Waves lately! Not only have we had an exciting and busy summer with a huge amount of deliveries and electrifications, but we have also gotten two new members of our staff! We have asked them five quick questions to get to know them better.

Oddvar Godø Elgvin started 1st of August as Marketing Manager and he is responsible for all marketing and sales in our company. He was thrown into it with Risør Trebåtfestival and Arendalsuka in August, and he will get many exciting assignments and tasks in the time to come. He has background from the film production company Batfish in Arendal, where he for five years produced content for social media for many large businesses and companies in Norway. He is a true “sørlending” who grew up with boat life on the Southern Coast and he thinks summer is best on the South Coast of Norway.

Oddvar has answered our five quick questions:

  • Long morning time or straight to work?

I like to have good time in the morning for breakfast and two cups of coffee.

  • Coffee, tea or soda?

It’s only the black gold that matters, coffee all the way!

  • Take-Away or a five-course meal?

Five courses is an experience! I would rather take that when I can.

  • Podcast or music?

Depends on the situation, but an interesting or entertaining podcast is always welcome. Otherwise, I have my go-to artists.

  • Roadtrip vacation or laying on the beach?

I always dream of the perfect roadtrip vacation, but I know myself well enough to know it rather becomes a relaxing beach vacation instead.

Mikal Edlund Nybø started 1st of September as System Developer in Green Waves. He holds a M.Sc in Control Engineering at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), an education which is perfect for Green Waves now that we are developing our own drivetrain! Mikal has already started R&D of our batteries and the technology, along with our Technical Manager Jakob. He lived in Trondheim until 2019 and it was just happy accidents that led him and his family to Tvedestrand. But when he tells us that he used to spend summers on the South Coast growing up, we can count on that having something to do with where they wanted to settle down ;)

Mikal has also answered five quick questions:

  • Long morning time or straight to work?

    Straight to work

  • Coffee, tea or soda?

    Water

  • Take-Away or a five-course meal?

I would love to be served a 5-meal course, but it depends on the food. Don’t underestimate a good take-away.

  • Podcast or music?

Music. Podcast is ok in some situations but music is a lot more versatile.

  • Roadtrip vacation or laying on the beach?

Definitively roadtrip, rather somewhere not too hot.

Now we have gotten to know Oddvar and Mikal better! Thank you guys for your answers!
