New Partnership

We are pleased to announce our new collaboration with Venus Boats on supplying electric propulsion systems for their Polar boats. This collaboration marks a milestone in the work to electrify the leisure boat market and supports our vision of making zero-emission solutions at sea available to as many people as possible.

Our newly developed technology and expertise in electric propulsion systems will help create innovative and reliable solutions for their Polar boats. Together with their high quality of craftsmanship and products, this will result in beautiful, classic boats that glide quietly through the archipelago.

Venus Boats

Venus Boats is located in Mandal. This is also where the Polar boats are produced. Venus Boats, with Tor Oftebro as general manager, focuses on good craftsmanship and high-quality work. He is responsible for the furnishings in the boats and has many decades of experience in the field.

The Polar 22 is a classic boat from southern Norway, first produced in 1967. Since then, thousands of boats with the recognizable and timeless design have seen the light of day. The boat is popular among all age groups. In the archipelago, we can meet young people, families with small children, and grandparents on a boat trip. One of the things that make the boat so attractive is that it is easy to manoeuvre, which makes it usable and safe even without much experience, it is directional in all speed ranges and is well-balanced even in waves and seas.

Long experience

Over the years, Green Waves has electrified many Polar boats and has built up solid experience on proven solutions for this type of boat. Polar's hulls are very well suited to electric propulsion and provide good utilization of the engine power without the need to use large, resource-intensive solutions. With the Polar 22, you can enjoy a whole day at sea with a reasonably sized motor and battery package. In addition, electric propulsion systems reduce the need for system maintenance to a minimum, and it eliminates noise and the smell of exhaust. The feedback from satisfied customers is that the electric driveline has given them a completely new experience at sea.

We are convinced that this collaboration will significantly benefit both parties, and we look forward to continuing the partnership in the coming years.
